Sonny Davis

Born and raised in Calgary Alberta, Sonny Davis maintains his study of rhythm began before birth. At age five he was diagnosed with a neuro-muscular disorder known as Muscular Dystrophy. The disease effects the muscles in his hands and legs to the point where he uses a wheelchair. Sonny, and Chair, decided to experience MD fully as a gift and went on to embrace his athletic and musical passions. As the drummer and percussionist of many bands and ensembles; Sonny performed with concert orchestras, rock, blues and jazz bands to funk, punk, african and rhumba flamenca; beatbox, bellydance, trance and beyond. Study with a private teacher lead him to six years of performing and competing with a traveling drum corps all over North America. This experience gave Sonny the courage and insight to discover the truth to all his study into the rhythmic realms, including ancient healing modalities such as Native American Shamanic drumming.

Today he shares, teaches and performs what he has come to understand as the Law of Rhythm and how it permeates all of life and existence – a principal he also applies to athletics as a wheelchair racer. Sonny shows passion towards how anyone with willingness can harness the Law of Rhythm to manifest love, healing and your truest desires.
